Liquor scam busted

10 people, including a husband and wife team, were arrested after officers raided 20 premises islandwide on Thursday. About 18 thousands of branded vodka, whisky, wines and 1600 cans of beers were seized. The amount of duties and goods & servicers tax evaded came up to about $400,000. The bottles of liquor are switched with empty alcohol bottles or mineral water bottles and packed into cartons to export.

Well, the husband and wife team thought that the authority will not be able to detect it.
Anyway this idea was frequently use by many other syndicate before.
It is not something new.
