Kgs of rice were given to the south east district of asia, as they needed rice. Although rice price had been increasing lately, by looking at the line graph, I realised that the prices of rice were even higher a few decades ago. Wheat, soy beans and rice were dropping last time and it had started increasing a fews years ago. Most of the people said tha the prices are too expensive.
i do not really think so. If the prices are expensive now, the prices a few decades ago will then be extremely expensive. Other people were still able to survive last time, now why not?

I don't know where you got the information.
However, i believed the oil price is a good cor-relation with the rice price.
When the oil price increase, the rice price will also increase.
This is because all the commodities are affected by the oil price.
But there are other factors for rice price to increase. That is the wheather and the government of the producing country.
If wheather is bad, harvest will be low and of course price will increase.
Government also can impose extra tax for thier own country's benefit to increase the price of rice.
