Bak kwa not cheap

Most Bak kwa outlets are doing a roaring trade during festive seasons. They took this opportunity to increase prices to match demand. A man complained that why he need to pay more to stall owners he had supported throughout the years. He wanted the outlets to lower their prices as a token of appreciation for their customers' continued patronage.

I think that the owners are taking this opportunity to earn more money than normal days to use it on Chinese New Year. Its his opportunity to earn and they would not easily let it off.

Bak kwa is uaually eaten during chinese new year.
hence it is sort of once a year affair.
Of course the retailers will increase thier profit margin to squeeze as much money as possible during the festive period.
After the festive period, most of us will not buy the bak kwa even it is about S$30 per Kg. Note that the price during the festive period is $S48 per Kg.
