Teen gang attacks 3 boys
A 12 year old boy was at Tiong Bahru Park with two of his friends when a group of six teens confronted him on Wednesday afternoon. The gang accused the boys of having assaulted one of their member's younger brothers. The teens, aged 12 to 20, asked the boy and his friends to surrender their belongings, which included $30 in cash and a $500 mobile phone. The teens then punched one of the boys in the eye and slapped another in the back before fleeing.
Dead after wedding
Hours after celebrating his wedding, the groom was found dead on the driveway of the Hilton Hotel in Orchard Road early on Wednesday. Mr Vernon Leong Jun Wei, 31, who ran a computer shop in Sim Lim Square, had earlier held his wedding reception at the five-star hotel attended by over 300 guests. He was last seen smoking at the rooftop garden on the 24th floor of the hotel. His body, clad in T-shirt and shorts, was found on the driveway of the hotel at about 3am.
Stabbed teen
A teenager accused of murdering his girlfriend claimed on Friday that as he stabbed her repeatedly, she told him: 'I love you.' Pathip Selvan Sugumaran, 23, told the High Court that those were her last words, as she died moments later. She suffered 15 external injuries, three of them fatal stab wounds to her neck, shoulder and chest. The stab wound to the chest went so deep that it cut through her stomach and into her ribs.
